Orders

Use Orders to view, manage, and fulfil customer orders (manual orders and ecommerce-imported orders).

Guides

Common tasks

  • Find an order by order number, customer name, postcode, or SKU.
  • Check payment / channel status from the ecommerce platform.
  • Understand why an order is visible, blocked, monitoring-only, history-only, or locally held.
  • Reimport an ecommerce order safely after the customer changes address, contact details, shipping method, or line demand upstream.
  • Create shipments and push tracking back to the ecommerce platform.
  • Correct a dispatched order without losing shipment history.
  • Understand when one order should become multiple shipments or multiple parcels.
  • Use Completing and dispatching an order when the question is how to complete an order, what to do after picking, how to mark an order as shipped, how to close manual or client-managed dispatch work, or how to use a client-supplied label.
  • Use How to split an order into multiple shipments when the order is too heavy, over a service limit, needs more than one tracking number, or must ship in stages.
  • Use Understanding order state, ownership & blockers when the question is what the status fields mean together, who owns them, why an order is blocked, or how local hold differs from upstream status.
  • Use Orders - Ops Mode when the question is what Operational, Monitoring only, or All means on the Orders list, why an order is monitoring-only, or how Ops Mode differs from History Mode.
  • Use the shipment workflow guide when you need Shipment method, partial shipment, or shipment-correction rules.
  • Suppress or archive ecommerce orders without losing operational history.

Notes

  • Completed orders are hidden by default; use Show Completed Orders when needed.
  • Some orders may be merged so they ship together as one delivery; where supported, ParcelPilot can still send tracking back to the correct ecommerce orders.
  • Ecommerce orders should usually be suppressed or archived rather than deleted.
  • You can’t delete orders that already have shipments.
