Manual Booking
Manual Booking is used when labels are created outside ParcelPilot (or via a carrier portal) and you want ParcelPilot to generate a booking spreadsheet/export.
What ParcelPilot needs
No API credentials are required.
How it works
- ParcelPilot generates an export (typically CSV) for the shipment(s).
- You (or the warehouse team) upload the CSV to the carrier/booking system or manually book shipments.
- Tracking numbers can then be added back into ParcelPilot so they can be pushed to the ecommerce platform (if enabled).
Where to configure it in ParcelPilot
ParcelPilot Admin → Integrations → Carrier Integrations → create/edit a Carrier Integration with platform Manual Booking.
Suggested configuration:
- Allowed Services: define your internal service names/codes for manual booking
- Auto Service Rules: optionally route certain orders to manual booking automatically
Operational tips
- If you want ParcelPilot to push tracking back to the ecommerce platform, make sure the ecommerce integration has Push shipment confirmations enabled and that tracking is entered on the shipment.
