DPD
This guide covers what ParcelPilot needs to connect to DPD, where to find it, and where to enter it in ParcelPilot.
What ParcelPilot needs
- Username / Geo Client ID
- Password
- Account Number
- Environment (Sandbox / Production)
Where to find it (DPD)
DPD API access is typically provisioned by DPD and supplied by your account manager.
You will usually be given:
- A username (often called a Geo Client ID)
- A password
- An account number
- Sandbox and/or production endpoints/credentials
Where to enter it in ParcelPilot
ParcelPilot Admin → Integrations → Carrier Integrations → create/edit a Carrier Integration with platform DPD.
Fill these fields:
- Username / Geo Client ID →
credentials.username - Password →
credentials.password - Account Number →
credentials.account_number - Environment →
credentials.environment
Services and routing
- Set Allowed Services with DPD service codes and labels.
- Use Auto Service Rules to map ecommerce platform/shipping method to a service.
Troubleshooting
- If you get auth errors, confirm whether the credential set is for sandbox or production.
- Ask DPD to confirm your API account is enabled.
Security notes
- Treat credentials as secrets.
