Import Items from eCommerce (Pull Products)
Use this when you want to create or update Items in ParcelPilot from an eCommerce platform.
Owner Ops
The action is started from Integrations -> Client Integrations, but the result is an update to your Items catalogue, which is why this guide now sits in the Items section.
What this does
Pull Products imports product catalogue data into ParcelPilot Items, typically including:
- SKU and product name
- Platform product or variant IDs
- Images, if you choose to download them
- Platform metadata stored against the Item
What this does not do
This does not create or adjust warehouse stock.
Stock quantities, reservations, and locations are managed separately in Inventory Units.
If you need inventory syncing, use the separate inventory sync tools on the integration where supported.
How to import items
- Go to Integrations -> Client Integrations.
- Open the ecommerce integration you want.
- Click Pull Products.
- Choose the options you want.
- Use Only pull new products if you want to skip SKUs that already exist in ParcelPilot.
- Use Download images if you want product images imported.
- Use Refresh existing images if you want already-imported images replaced.
- Confirm the action.
You should then see a confirmation notification showing whether the import succeeded.
Common outcomes
Only pull new products is enabled
- Existing SKUs are skipped
- This is useful if you want to preserve product data you have already curated in ParcelPilot
You want to refresh existing items
- Turn off Only pull new products
- Turn on Refresh existing images if the images also need updating
Troubleshooting
Products pulled but the SKU is not visible in Items
- Confirm you are viewing the correct Client
- Confirm the upstream product or variant has a populated SKU
Images did not appear
- Re-run Pull Products with Download images enabled
- If the SKU already existed, also enable Refresh existing images
