Inventory Units — Bulk & Line Actions

This page covers the actions on the main Inventory Units table.

Role lozenges show the normal access level for each action. Tenant/client scoping and record state can still hide an action in some cases.

Line actions

  • View Owner Ops Client: opens the inventory unit so you can inspect stock, reservations, and movement history.
  • Edit Owner Ops: opens the inventory unit so you can update metadata such as serial, batch, expiry, warehouse, or location details. Quantity changes should not be made by editing the record directly; use movement or transfer workflows so the audit trail stays correct.

Bulk actions

  • Transfer Stock Owner Ops: moves stock to another location and can optionally move reservations with it. It requires a target location and quantity.
  • Update Status Owner Ops: sets the status for all selected units.
  • Mark collected Owner Ops: records stock leaving the warehouse because the client collected it in person. It does not allow a mixed selection of serialised and non-serialised rows. For non-serialised rows, it needs a quantity greater than zero and blocks you if you try to remove more than the unreserved stock. For serialised rows, it removes the full on-hand quantity for each selected row.
  • Export movements (CSV) Owner Ops Client: exports inventory adjustment history for the selected units.
  • Mark as Discontinued Owner Ops: marks the selected units as discontinued so they are excluded from picking, allocation, and ecommerce stock sync.
  • Restore from Discontinued Owner Ops: moves discontinued units back to Available.
  • Delete Owner Ops: deletes the selected inventory units. Use this carefully because inventory units often have movement history, reservations, or reporting links behind them.

Buttons

  • Choose Workflow Owner Ops: opens the workflow chooser so users can jump to the right stock workflow.
  • Direct Inventory Record Owner Ops: opens a direct inventory record form. It is shown to users who are allowed to create inventory units, but it should be used with care because normal inbound stock should usually come through receipts, returns, or collections.
  • Group by SKU or Ungroup SKU Owner Ops Client: toggles grouped table viewing by SKU.
  • Inventory Units Help Owner Ops Client: opens the help guide for inventory units.
