Shipment Actions
This page explains the main shipment correction actions.
Shipment records are dispatch evidence. ParcelPilot keeps committed shipment evidence for audit history and uses correction actions when dispatch state needs to change.
Delete
Delete is only for cancelled pre-dispatch cleanup.
It is blocked when inventory has already been committed, or when the shipment has not first been cancelled before dispatch. Active or committed shipment evidence should be corrected, not removed.
Reverse Dispatch
Reverse Dispatch is for shipments where stock was already committed and the warehouse dispatch must be unwound.
It is blocked when there is no committed dispatch to reverse, when the shipment was cancelled before dispatch, when the dispatch was already reversed, or when ParcelPilot cannot find the inventory evidence needed to create the compensating movement.
Mark Delivered
Mark Delivered is a manual tracking correction. It updates shipment delivery status and refreshes the linked order status without changing inventory, reservations, fulfilment events, accounting dispatch, or channel fulfilment pushback.
It is blocked when the shipment is already delivered, cancelled, dispatch-reversed, or otherwise not in a state where manual delivered status is appropriate.
Ask AI Help can explain the current blocker from live shipment lifecycle evidence. The action itself still reruns validation before changing the shipment.
