Completing and dispatching an order
Use this page when the question is what to do next after picking, how to dispatch an order, how to use a client-supplied label, how to mark an order as shipped, or how an order becomes complete.
This page is a short routing guide.
For the full current outbound workflow, use Shipments — Create, Edit & Delete.
For the engineering current-state architecture, use Shipment Workflow Current State.
Current rule
- There is not a generic Mark order complete button for normal warehouse work.
- Picking does not complete an order.
- The normal next step after picking is Create shipment.
- In Create shipment, choose the Shipment method that matches what actually happened:
- Parcel Pilot carrier
- External courier
- Customer collection
- External fulfilment
Quick routing
Use these guides based on the question:
- Normal shipment workflow, shipment methods, client-supplied labels, and external fulfilment: Shipments — Create, Edit & Delete
- Partial or additional shipments: Orders — Partial Shipments
- Shipment blocked or unavailable: Why Can't I Create a Shipment?
- Reverse or correct a dispatch: Correcting a dispatched order
- Order, fulfilment, and shipment status meaning: Orders — Statuses
Exception paths
- Fulfilment Repair is an admin-only historical correction path, not the normal operator workflow.
- Record Manual Fulfilment is a narrow shipmentless fallback, not the standard way to dispatch an order.
- If the order has mixed shipment, fulfilment, or reservation evidence, stop and review the correction or diagnostic guides before creating more shipment rows.
