Use Operations Diagnostics when a workflow looks operationally wrong and you need the system's current explanation before changing data.

This page is diagnostic only. It does not change orders, shipments, pricing, or inventory.

Who can use it

Current access rules:

hidden from client_user
available to non-client operational/admin users who can access the Operations area
tenant/client scope still applies
impersonation and locked-client context can narrow what you can see

What the page filters

The page currently filters by:

Month options cover the recent rolling window plus the selected month.

How to read the page

No client selected

With a tenant-wide view, the issue cards tell you how many records are affected and how many clients are affected.

When you open an issue without selecting a client first, the page shows a client breakdown so you can decide where to drill in.

Client selected

With a client selected, the page shows record-level detail rows for the chosen issue.

Use that view when an operator asks about one specific order, shipment, or collection.

What each issue means

Missing Shipment Costs

Use this when a shipment appears operationally valid but its cost cannot be priced correctly.

Typical reasons include:

no pricing metric mapping for that shipment service
no matching per-shipment item-count rate
no manual pickup shipment price for a collection pickup shipment

Use this issue when the question is really, "Why is this shipment missing from Monthly Operations pricing?"

Orders Missing Shipments

Use this when an order looks actioned enough that Parcel Pilot expects shipment evidence, but none exists.

Current meaning from the live diagnostic:

the order is actioned enough to expect a shipment
no non-cancelled active Parcel Pilot shipment exists for the order or its merged group

The page already accounts for merged-group coverage and ignores cancelled or out-of-scope cases.

Collections Missing Shipments

Use this when a collection is actioned enough that Parcel Pilot expects pickup shipment evidence, but it still lacks pickup-shipment coverage after separating genuine cancellations from failed transport attempts.

This is the guide to use when the user asks, "What does collections missing shipments mean?"

Current diagnostic reasons include:

a pickup shipment reached Collection Attempt Failed and no later successful pickup shipment has been recorded
only cancelled pickup shipments exist, which suggests either a genuine cancellation or a historical failed attempt that still needs repair
the collection is actioned enough to expect a pickup shipment, but no pickup shipment has been recorded

Pre-go-live history / non-billable

Use this when old imported history appears in diagnostics or Monthly Operations questions.

This issue identifies records treated as historical/non-billable rather than normal live operational activity.

Missing Pricing

Use this when the system found billable quantity but cannot find the tariff rate needed to price it.

Missing Service Mappings

Use this when shipment service naming is not mapped cleanly into the billing metric model.

Storage Snapshots

Use this when storage billing or storage reporting looks wrong because the expected warehouse storage snapshots are missing or incomplete.

Label Metrics

Use this when label-related metrics are not producing the expected operational or billing output.

Common troubleshooting flows

What does collections missing shipments mean?

It means the collection is far enough through the workflow that Parcel Pilot expects pickup shipment evidence, but it cannot currently find pickup-shipment coverage that survived cancellation / failed-attempt checks.

First checks:

confirm the collection was actually booked/completed far enough to expect pickup evidence
check whether the only shipment was cancelled or marked Collection Attempt Failed
check whether the pickup shipment was created under the correct collection/workflow

Why is this shipment missing from Monthly Operations?

Start in Missing Shipment Costs or Missing Service Mappings.

That is usually the fastest way to separate these cases:

the shipment exists but pricing is incomplete
the service exists but mapping is missing
the record is historical/non-billable rather than live billable activity

Why is this order missing shipment evidence?

Open Orders Missing Shipments and check whether the order:

is in a state that should already have shipment evidence
belongs to a merged group whose primary order carries the shipment
only has cancelled/non-active shipment rows

What Diagnostics does not do

Operations Diagnostics helps you explain the current state. It does not:

create missing shipments
post receipts
reverse dispatches
fix tariffs or service mappings automatically
recalculate monthly billing by itself

Safe next actions

If the issue is shipment evidence, use the correct shipment workflow on the order or collection.
If the issue is pricing, fix tariffs or service mappings before finalising Monthly Operations.
If the issue is historical/non-billable status, do not try to force it into live warehouse billing without confirming the underlying workflow.
